About Sgt. Goodtimes

Sergeant Goodtimes is the nickname given to a hyper-organized travel planner whose family used to tease her for making them walk too much on trips. (Ask them about the forced march from the Eiffel Tower through the Louvre or her refusal to let them nap after Transatlantic flights.) On one fateful trip, she got tired of their complaining and decided to take a day off from planning. There would be no more meal reservations or research, no museum visits, no itineraries. After a single afternoon of her family fending for themselves, her young daughter sighed and said, “Without Sergeant Goodtimes, there are no good times.”

And with that, Sgt. Goodtimes learned to laugh off the teasing and even lighten up a little bit.

This site — coming in Summer 2025 — is designed to help travelers plan their own good times. You’ll find tools for travel planning and packing, researching hotels and apartments, and more, as well as tips for having a great time even when you’re traveling with someone with a different travel style.
